The team is involved in the development of innovative approaches for reel time detection of various analytes including DNA, proteins, antibody and small molecules based on direct electrochemical lecture without labelling or amplification of sample. We develop a biosensors system able to convert molecular interaction into measured sensitive electrical signal. We are interested to develop concept and devices for real time detection of pathogens and toxins and their application in clinical diagnostics and analysis such as food controls or environment monitoring. Our research aims to understanding controlling and monitoring the chemical and biological process at electrode interface and their effect in charge transfer ability to monitor such reaction.
The integration of such biosensors in microsystems are developed. The objective is the miniaturizing and multiplexing through integration into microsystem such as biochips or microfluidics devices. This can be obtained by integration of array of electrodes on small devices. The group is interesting to various applications in diagnosis, analysis, as well in drug screening. The team has developed innovative approach for toxin and bacteria detection in food that is under spin off creation.
The expertise of the team is bioelectrochemistry, materials sciences, surface chemistry, biosensors, biotechnology.
