I have been a lecturer at ICMMO since 2011. In the Inorganic Chemistry team, I work in collaboration with Ally Aukauloo and Zakaria Halime.
Our research projects are based on the rich chemistry of metal complexes, taking inspiration from enzymatic processes to promote more sustainable catalytic reactions. I initially led the Oxidation Reactions research axis within the Artificial Photosynthesis theme, while also collaborating on the Reduction Reactions and Photo-induced Electron Transfer axis.
For several years now, I have been carrying out studies using theoretical calculations (DFT and Hartree Fock) to formulate and describe the active species relevant in these transformations. In particular, we are seeking to shed light on the mechanisms of CO2 reduction by iron porphyrins and related systems. I have also established a close collaboration with Philippe Dauban's team at the ICSN (2 Labex and an ANR grant) through which we are rationalising the design of dirhodium catalysts for the selective C-C and C-H to C-N bonds formation. In these two lines of research, we are seeking to reveal the effects of second coordination sphere that can improve the efficiency or selectivity of these catalysts.
Besides my research, I teach ca. 200h a year at the IUT in Orsay, from atomistics to organometallic chemistry, including electrochemistry and solid state chemistry. I am also involved in the training of students who commit to teaching during their PhD.

Previously : After my education in Marseille I obtained an M2 in fine chemistry from the university of Caen / ENSICAEN. Then I developped my expertise in coordination chemistry during my PhD at Didier Bourissou's group (LBPB, Toulouse). I pursued with 2 post docs in organometallic chemistry and catalysis in the groups of Alois Fürstner (Max Planck Institute, Mülheim), then Vincent Gandon (ICMMO, Orsay) where I started to practice DFT calculations.
