I am a lecturer at the University Paris Sud, since 2011. I work in collaboration with Ally Aukauloo, Professor and Zakaria Halime, Research Fellow in the Inorganic Chemistry team.
Our research projects are based on the rich chemistry of transition metals by using enzymatic processes to promote more sustainable catalytic reactions. In particular, I lead the theme Oxidation chemistry in Artificial Photosynthesis but I have also explored methods for the electrochemical production of dihydrogen (see theme Reduction Reactions). In parallel, I am conducting theoretical studies (DFT and Hartree Fock) to rationalize the nature of the active species involved in the transformations we are studying and to guide the design of more efficient catalysts.
On the teaching side, I mainly work at the at IUT d'Orsay (200h a year).
Keywords : Artificial photosynthesis / Sustainable chemistry / Bioinspired chemistry / Small molecule activation / Iron / Non innocent Ligands / Mechanism / Structure-properties relationship / Electrocatalysis / Photocatalysis / PCET / Spin / DFT / CAS / Ambiliphilic ligand / Late Transition metal / Dual catalysis / Lanthanides
Previously : After a M2 in fine chemistry (ENSICAEN), I developped my expertise in coordination chemistry at Didier Bourissou's group (LBPB, Toulouse). I pursued with 2 post docs in organometallic chemistry and catalysis in the groups of Alois Fürstner (Max Planck Institute, Mülheim), then Vincent Gandon (ICMMO, Orsay) where I started to practice DFT calculations.
