What you get:

Characterization of inorganic and organic materials: system electron spin, location and environment of the electron, information on the anisotropy of the molecule, how levels are occupied with temperature changes...

Principle:

The electron spin resonance is the study of the absorption of electromagnetic waves by a paramagnetic compound when placed in an external magnetic field.

Materials: paramagnetic species (organic radicals, ions of transition metals and rare earths)

How to use it: no self-service unless special agreement conditions.

Options:

- X-band (9.4 GHz), Q band (34 GHz), Endor X-band and Q band
- Studies in temperature from ambient to 80K with liquid nitrogen and up to 5K with liquid helium
- Radiation in situ (soon)
