Biographie

Mohamed Mellah was born in Oulmès, Morocco, in 1969. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Université Paris 12 in 2001 for studies concerning the electrochemical synthesis of functionalized organic conducting polymers, under the direction of Pr. J. Périchon at CNRS Thiais. After an industrial postdoctoral position at Electricité de France (EDF) in the development of electrosynthetic processes and an academic postdoc at the Université Rennes 1 (ionic liquids, solvents for electrochemical synthesis), he joined the group of Jean-Claude Fiaud (Laboratoire de Catalyse Moléculaire, ICMMO) in 2003 as Maître de Conférences at the Université Paris-Sud 11. His research interest lies in the electrochemical preparation of chiral polymers for heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis and electrocatalysis and in the development of enantioselective catalytic reactions assisted by electrochemistry.
