Jacqueline Collin received her PhD degree from Université Paris VI in 1977. After a postdoctoral stay in IFP with Dr Chauvin, she joined Prof. Kagan’s group in Orsay in 1979. Since 1975 she has worked as a permanent researcher in CNRS. During the last fifteen years she developed new methodologies based on catalysis with lanthanides. Her main research topics are the use of samarium diiodide as a Lewis acid and the applications of chiral lanthanides for enantioselective reactions including hydroamination
