Subject 2 (J.-P. Mahy)
Design and synthesis of new metal complexes
and study of their interactions with biomolecules

2.8. Chemistry of creation of C-C bonds by radical SAM enzymes (artificial or not)
    R. Ricoux, W. Ghattas
    , F. Avenier (ANR Carb2zyme 2017)

Biomimetic systems for B12 radical SAM enzymes will be developed with two objectives; first, to help elucidating the mechanism of the methyl transfer reaction catalyzed by B12 radical SAM enzymes and, second, to develop new artificial metalloenzymes that would be able to catalyze the selective methylation of organic compounds such as tryptophane, just  like B12 radical SAM enzymes do.
