Florence Charnay-Pouget obtained her University Diploma in Technology in 2000 at the University of Claude Bernard (Villeurbanne 69). She integrated the laboratory of Organic Synthesis and Methodology (UMR 5041) and worked under the supervision of Pr. Régis Mercier. She has synthesized perfluorinated molecules for the membranes of the direct methanol fuel cell. Then she was recruited in December 2001 as assistant engineer in chemical synthesis at CNRS and assigned to the department "Response and Dynamic Cell" - UMR5047 of CEA at Grenoble. She worked on the heterogeneous enantioselective catalysis under the supervison of Pr. Marc Fontecave. Since 2004, she is assigned to the "Institut de Chimie Moléculaire et des Matériaux d'Orsay" (UMR 8182) at the University of Paris-Sud. She is working in CP3A team under the supervision of Prof. David. J. Aitken and she is involved in several projects such as the cyclopropanation Kulinkovich, the photochemistry, the chemistry of peptides and amino-acids.
